Okay I have an indelicate question...but here goes. How much does something like that cost. i watch the show every week and obsess over every detail of the cake making. And they have such large staff and work for days on a cake so I always wonder how much they end up charging to cover their overhead.

So sorry to be rude, but I am just so curious.

As Lane pointed out the cake was chocolate cherry flavor and the cockpit and a few other parts of it was made out of a super dense rice krispie treat. The cake tasted great and the first thing Brian dug into was knocking off the radar dish on top and then cutting the cockpit off for himself. I'll be posting a few more pictures soon to give you an idea of the size of the cake.

A few details about the cake:

it was chocolate cherry flavor and very light and tasty. Some parts of it were made with a very dense rice krispie treat that appeared to be made with ground rice krispies and marshmallow. We had no clue how to cut it, but Brian got a sushi knife from one of the chefs and did a great job dividing it up. The cake itself sat on a thin wooden platform that was cut to follow the exact contour of the cake.
